On Wednesday, April 24, 2024, the University of Oregon's intramural soccer team Nifty Nickels competed against FC Chops. The Nifty Nickels, playing in black, lost to the FC Chops, playing in white, 5-0. The game was played on Rec Field 3 at 5:30 p.m..
Michael Dennis runs down the field in an attempt to score a goal. He was red-carded for sliding while kicking the ball, and suspended for the remainder of the game, as well as the following game.
In the fall, Theisen plays intramural flag football and indoor volleyball. In the spring, she plays intramural soccer and outdoor volleyball. Theisen has been playing volleyball since she was in middle school. Theisen said, “I wanted to do intramurals in college to continue playing with friends.”
In intramural outdoor volleyball teams play the best two out of three games. The final scores were 18-21 and 17-21 with the Kerilyns losing both games.
Lauren Theisen is a sophomore at the University of Oregon and a human physiology major with a food studies minor. Theisen is from Sacramento, California.
Theisen is a part of the intramural outdoor volleyball team called the Kerilyns. Theisen said, “Our team name is the Kerilyns because it is a little inside joke with our friend group. It is named after one of my teammate’s mom because we love her mom and are honoring Kerilyn.”
On Wednesday, May 22, 2024, the Kerilyns and the Ball Slappers compete at the playoff game of 4x4 coed intramural grass volleyball at 4:40 p.m. on the Gerlinger lawn.
